I was born in a state of confusion and when
I found art I moved to the state of grace. I have lived there since I was a little kid.
I found a BFA and an MFA there. I have had to fight with mental illness, particularly
depression for 28 years, but I think I am winning right now. Art is my voice. I use collage,
painting, mixed media work, and altered books as well as handmade books to speak. I express
my sorrow, my joy, my interests, and portraits of my family and friends. Self portraits seem
to say the most. I learn a little bit more with each piece of art I make.
The most interesting facts come from what my viewers teach me. Thank You.
